RE:                 ERIE Earns 2010 PIA Company Award of Excellence

I’m pleased to announce that ERIE has earned the 2010 PIA Company Award of Excellence. This prestigious award is presented annually by the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents (PIA), the nation’s largest organization of independent agents.

The Company Award of Excellence honors an organization for its commitment to and support of independent agents. Considerations include how a company has improved the business environment for professional insurance agents and how the company has encouraged use of independent agents as the preferred distribution system for insurance products.

To be eligible for the Company Award of Excellence, a company must first receive a state-level award of excellence based on a nomination by an agent and PIA member. ERIE received this recognition in June in Indiana, following nomination by Indiana Agent Jim Mansfield.

This award is a reflection of our long-standing commitment to independent agents. Effectively supporting our relationship with you is an integral part of our corporate strategy. As you know, our strategy is focused on developing our core businesses and building our capabilities for the mutual benefit of The ERIE and the Agents who represent us.
